If you actually read the CNN article, it says that one of the reasons is because the kids dared him to do it.

That night, Dad announced that he would indeed be putting $700 in video games up for sale on eBay. The oldest boy double-dared his dad to make good on his word.

If that's true, they aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer. Anyone with the courage and conviction to bring children into today's world and raise them to adulthood has the balls of King Kong. I wouldn't dare a person like that to do anything.

I feel sorry for those three *boys* of his - looks like they have more problems than just getting their gifts returned

And all it cost them was the love, trust and respect of their parents. It may be just me, but the kids will get the short end of that deal.

    Hello,

This his FIRST farewell tour and I TRULY believe it will be his last. Supposedly his hearing is really bad and I wouldn't doubt he takes a LONG break that may be permanent

Besides, what about CHER'S NEVER CAN SAY GOODBYE TOUR???? What's it been, 5 years since she was going to call it quits?????

If it is his last farewell tour, then why did he name it his first?

That implies that there will be another tour.

And if so, how can the first one be a "farewell" tour?

Yep. They should be honest and call it what it is:

"Our 'milk a few more bucks out of you by letting you think we're actually leaving the business ...you're stupid and will probably forget the farewell part in a few weeks and then we can milk you again' tour"
