Fastest DVD-r Media for a NEC 3500A 2.18

Hi i have a NEC 3500A 2.18 and i was woundering what is the fastest media for it, best bang for the buck in looking at spending much but just something faster than 4x

Well... Taiyo Yuden +R (T02 Media ID), can be burned at 16x, and generally takes around 6min15seconds from the time it starts writing the lead in, to the time it takes to finalize the disc. Very good media, very stable scans, too.

Taiyo Yuden DVD-R TYG02 can be burned at 12x. Not bad. About 7min start to finish.

Maxell +R media ID maxell 002 can be burned at 12x as well. These are my personal favorites...(The KProbe is unbelievable!)

modified 2.18 firmware can also do F01's etc at 12x.

I know there's a lot more, but these are just a couple examples.
