  1. What is the best way to convert SVCD to DVD? Is it best to convert to 1/2 D1 (352X480) or full D1 (720X480). What is the best bit rates that I should use? I read alot about the conversion from SVCD to DVD in the forums but...have not get a clear answer yet? Some said that 1/2 D1 is the way to go but the others said that covert to full D1 is the best. Some would say set the bit rate around 3500kb but other said more 2500kb is not help at all.

There's two ways to make a DVD from an SVCD: 1) Leave the video as-is and make a non-standard DVD. 2) Re-encode to a DVD compliant resolution.

Method 1 is faster but is not acceptable to all DVD players. For method 2 I would choose 1/2 DVD as upsizing in resolution can cause macroblocks.

Look up SVCD to DVD under format conversion in the guides section for all the details.
