  1. Hi,
I've just bought Natalie Imbruglia latest CD and tried to rip it. I could not do it.
I wanted to copy only the tracks into wav files and create my own best of album.

    Any idea ?

Goto Gamecopyworld.com They have heaps of info on how to crack copy protection.
If you just want to make another copy of that CD, try CloneCD.

Why not press play, and use http://www.goldwave.com to capture it or even Windoz sound capture.

If you can hear it, you can record it

  4. If this is one of those new audio CD's that can't be played in a PC then you might be in trouble. Clone clinic's forum will probably have a solution. You could always try isobuster if it's being a bitch.

  7. Thanks for everyone's answer.
Unfortunately my Yamaha 4416S CD writer does not support RAW mode required by CloneCD.
But my plan was to rip only the tracks into wav files, and I think this CloneCD can only duplicate the disc.

    Any more idea ?

  8. have you tried using the wav output plugin in winamp to create wav files for all the tracks? remember we used to do that all the time before you could rip straight to mp3.

  9. WinAmp does not work.
Also tried Isobuster and it gives "The Primary Volume Descriptor is unreadable" message.

    I'll try more...

If you can play it in your comp cd drive Goldwave is a easy answer. I havent tried to play cactus protected cds in comp drive so i dont know, maby it doesnt work..then if you have a soundcard with line in, take it that way from reg audio cd player.

the easiest way is to go back with it to the store and demand a new . I know that atleast here (Sweden) BMG have been taking CDs back (HIM and Natalie Imbruglia latest) due to that thoose cannot be played in all players due to the cactus
Well, I am the slime from your video.

  11. There's a program out called "CDFS" that seems to bypass the protection. What it does is replaces Win95/98/98SE's own cdfs.vxd file with it's own. The CD now looks like a regular disk to your computer and you can drag the music files to your hard drive.

Searching for "cdfs.zip" via Google or any other search engine turns up several results....

  12. Finally I have the solution!

I have found two programs which can be used partly in my configuration where is no RAW mode supported CD Writer.

    1. EAC (Exact Audio Copy freeware) could copy the 1-6 tracks without any problem but never the 7-12 tracks.

    2. CDCopy v4.801 (Markus Barth shareware) could copy the 2-12 Tracks but never the first one.

I do not understand why, but anyhow I have the full disc ripped.

I hope this info helps someone.
