  1. Every time when I'm converting avi to vcd using virtualdub, and after some minutes the computer suddenely restarts by itself.

    very strange.....

    I wonder what's wrong.

    avi to VCD? Not exactly your typical use of VDub. How exactly are you doing it?

    Check your CPU temp while you're encoding. Also, be sure not to knock your knee against the 'Reset' button on the case... :P

    Insert more fans, add silver thermal paste to the processor, and get a better cpu fan

    AIDA32 will have a tab which will show you your CPU temp. Look under "Sensors"

  12. from the beginning the converting worked very perfectly, but now it's very strange.

    isn't there any other reason than overheating??

    Faulty or incompatible ram will reset your computer especially if you are pushing your resources to 100% use.
