  1. HAPPY FESTIVUS
    EVERYONE!

    Frank Costanza: Many Christmases ago, I went to buy a doll for my son. I reached for the last one they had, but so did another man. As I rained blows upon him, I realized there had to be another way.

    Cosmo Kramer: What happened to the doll?

    Frank Costanza: It was destroyed. But out of that a new holiday was born . . . a Festivus for the rest of us!

    Cosmo Kramer: That must of been some doll.

    Frank Costanza: She was!

    For any of you who are seinfeld fans today is officially Festivus, the holiday created by George's father Frank because of the commercialization of Christmas. Festivus includes 3 major parts:

    1. An Aluminum Pole- no tree because Frank says that tinsel is too distracting.

    2. Airing if Grievances- everyone in the family tells why they have disappointed each other over the last year.
    3. Feats of Strength- This is where the head of the household tests their strength against another member of the family. Festivus isn't over until someone is pinned.

    What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

    It was pure genius 8)

    Compare it to some of the pap that has followed ..... Cookie-cutter sitcoms with canned laughter at painfully obvious punch lines. Dumbed down for the cud-chewing masses ....

    IMO it was just aimed at all the funny shit that happens to us in the course of daily life, and that's what made it so popular, because what happened to Jerry, George, Kramer & Elaine (or even Newman) on that show had invariably happened to all of us at one point or another.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Yeah it was!! Its so creative in the situations and whole theme of the show... what a masterpiece!

    Exactly. Like when the stamps killed Susan and George thought he was scott free, only to discover that thanks to Jerry Susan's parents were starting a "foundation" and he had to be on the board of directors (and watch all the money he would have gotten being given away). Granted that's a pretty extreme circumstance, its one of the many great things about seinfeld.

    I never bothered to watch Seinfeld until it the older seasons started rerunning late at night. I got hooked after a couple of episodes.

    I think it did so well, because a lot of the show was based on situations that happen to everyone. Of course they took it to an extreme, but that's the funny part.

    The most memorable scene to me was the time Jerry bought a car from Puddy. So many parts were funny, but I liked George and the vending machines the bestest.

    My favourite is "the Puffy Shirt' with the sub plot about the hand mannequin.
    And who can forget "bubble Boy?"

  15. And of course you can't forget the classic "Serenity Now." BTW I got the 1st 3 seasons on DVD for Christmas.

    Frank: I got no leg room back here. Move your seat forward.
    Estelle: That's as far as it goes.
    Frank: There's a mechanism. You just pull it, and throw your body weight.
    Estelle: I pulled it. It doesn't go.
    Frank: If you want the leg room, say you want the leg room! Don't blame
    the mechanism!
    George: All right, Dad, we're five blocks from the house. Sit
    sideways.
    Frank: Like an animal. Because of her, I have to sit here like an animal!
    Serenity now! Serenity now!
    George: What is that?
    Frank: Doctor gave me a relaxation cassette. When my blood pressure gets
    too high, the man on the tape tells me to say, 'Serenity now!'
    George: Are you supposed to yell it?
    Frank: The man on the tape wasn't specific.
    George: What happened to the screen door? It blew off again?
    Estelle: I told you to fix that thing.
    Frank: Serenity nowww!

    So many great moments. I was just watching "The Heart Attack," its hilarious when George goes to the "Holistic Healer"!!!

    A friend of mine even put up a festivus pole:

    That's great.

    I kept waiting for Frank to burst an artery the way he got so worked up all the time. And Mrs. Costanza didn't help any

    Have you seen the one with Susan's doll that looks just like Mrs. Costanza? Its absolutely hilarious because whenever George or Frank see it they hear her screaming at them!

    Or how about when Frank Costanza (I think it was) had to go to the hospital to get "Fujilli Jerry" removed from his ass?

    I'm Cozmo Kramer, the assman!

    Also with the serenity now one, Kramer gets that screen door and puts it up on his apartment so he can "feel the breezes of anytown usa!"

    That has to be one of the funnist Seinfeld moments ever.

    Anyway, I liked the show. But I don't think it was as funny as the animated fox sitcoms like The Simpsons, Family Guy, or Futurama. Of course, The Simpsons is currently garbage and should be cancelled.

    Also when Kramer gets that cough and refuses to see a doctor so he has a vet take a look at a dog with similar symptoms and then starts taking the dog medicine!

  22. * The episode where they all bet who can go the longest w/o Sex or self-gratification and Kramer's out in 30 seconds.

    * Soup Nazi

    * Mulva

    * Sponge Worthy

    * Kramer as a Calvin Klein underwear model

    * The Bro

    Oh hell -- they are all classics -- except for the final episode which was a real let down !!

    And then when Jerry meet Dolorus again a couple episodes later he has to call her Mulva around George!

    And of course the Bro, I forgot about that. Either the bro or the manzier

    I also didn't like the ending, it was nice that they brought back all the characters but it just wasn't a very good ending.

    In an interview Jerry and Jason both said that that was the turning point episode, where they combined stories and where seinfeld really hit its stride.
