I've tried to search for this problem but I guess I am searching the wrong terms.
Anyway, I have an mpeg1 video that I am trying to convert to mpeg2 for burning to a DVD. When I play the movie in any player except for VLC media player I get a time of 56:24, in VLC it shows the actual time of 1:51:14. When I convert it with procoder to mpeg2 it removes everything from about 54 minutes to about 1:49. When I go back to MS media player and try to fast forward to the point where procoder skips, MS media player freaks out and restarts the video. If I let it play from the start it plays the entire video but the time doesn't display correctly. Can anyone tell me why this is happening and whether or not it can be repaired so that procoder will convert it properly?
Thanks

Update.
When I try to use TEMPEnc to De-Multiplex then re-Multiplex I get an mpeg up to the point where Procoder cuts the video (about 54 minutes). I've tried fixing it with MPEG-Corrector with no luck.
Anyone?

Another Update.
It looks as if the point where the video messes up is directly in the middle of the video, like someone joined two parts of a video together and it messed up.
Thanks...
