I just downloaded the movie Hackers. It's filename is hackers[divx].avi, and I'm having some trouble playing it. First of all, Windows Media Player rejects it, and I have the DivX codec installed, but Real Player will play it, but it plays it really slow, and then crashes. The file says it's only 59.4 MB, but the picture quality is incredible (from what I can see before it crashes). It also seems to be kind of jumpy when it's playing. Anyway, here is what I get when I look at the summary on it, through Windows Explorer:
Audio format: MPEG Layer-3
Average data rate: 12.00 Kb/second
Sample rate: 48.00 kHz
Channels: 2(stereo)
Stream name: Hackers [divx].avi Video #1
Frame width: 720 pixels
Frame height: 576 pixels
Play length: 6055.680 seconds
Frame count: 151392
Frame rate: 25.00 frames/second
Data rate: 10.53 Kb/second
Video sample size: 24 bit
Video compression: DivX codec

Hope this info helps... So, is this a bad file? If it is, is there anything I can do? Can I convert this to MPEG, burn it to VCD, and expect it to play on my DVD player?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
