I think its time for me to finally update my first DVD player which only plays regular DVD's and nothing else.

I wanted your advice on a DVD player that i could buy in stores i.e. best buy, circuit city etc since i probably will get some type of gift card for x-mas.

I need one that can play all DVD formats (that new Dual layer optional) and CD's and mp3's and picture and video cd's etc.

if its got one of those camera memory ports that would be cool but optional.

also i dont have a cool TV i got a regular TV with RCA jacks only the ports in the back don't matter to me but if it got extra features for cool.

one thing i do need is optical audio, thats what i use now on my surround sound system and that was the only think i could get working.

    thank you for your time.

I've long enjoyed Toshiba and JVC players, for NTSC R1 DVD.

For anything else (R2, R4, PAL, CD, SVCD, MPEG-ISO, MP3, etc) Cyberhome 300.

I have both in the entertainment center.
