    I say Taping when speaking to anyone who doesn't visit here, because they wouldn't understand if I called it anything else ...

    My own preference is to say Recording, because IMO that covers any duplication jobs you might be doing in one hit.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    I have never used the word "taping". Maybe when I was using tape on some boxes, but I can't recall if I ever have done so...

    Do you have a VHS COPY?

    I have a COPY on reel2reel!

    Is that a 2 track or 4 track COPY?

    Ahh that would work. I believe I was confusing sod with sot - I think sot means drunk.
