WinAvi - can create menu ?

Good Day!

I read through the user guide in the website about how good and fast is using WinAvi to DVD directly instead of wasting hours trying to do dvd authoring.

can winavi create menu/track selection screen ?

no, winavi is not an authoring program, just a transcoder from one format to another. It can transcode your .avi files to DVD format .vob files but you have to use a program like DVDlab(pro) to make the menu's etc.

I'd argue that it is an encoding and authoring package in one, as it takes any format, re-encodes it to DVD-compliant MPEG then authors that into IFO, BUP and VOB files. That said, it's pretty limited in options as opposed to a lot of other softwares.

You can just import WinAVI's output into TMPGEnc DVD Author and create any menus or chapters if you wish.
