  1. I am using a Sony DRU 530-A, with updated firmware 2.1g. I used DVD Dycryptor in ISO write mode. I get about 50% through the burn process and I get a "Data Error - Cyclic Redundancy Check.

I am using Fuji DVD -R media. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Could be:

    - bad media (a coaster)
    - dirty laser lens
    - your firmware too old for the media
    - dead burner (unlikely)

  3. burnin too fast? have you tried lowering the speed? you didn't mention a media code, so either 4x or 8x should suffice. If not, then what smurf said^

  4. Is there a preferred media fo Sony writers? Also, is it possible that it worked with one dvd, but has failed with others.

My firmware is up to date, so how do you check your laser lens?

    Thanks
