I am using a Sony DRU 530-A, with updated firmware 2.1g. I used DVD Dycryptor in ISO write mode. I get about 50% through the burn process and I get a "Data Error - Cyclic Redundancy Check.
I am using Fuji DVD -R media. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be:
- bad media (a coaster)
- dirty laser lens
- your firmware too old for the media
- dead burner (unlikely)Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

Is there a preferred media fo Sony writers? Also, is it possible that it worked with one dvd, but has failed with others.
My firmware is up to date, so how do you check your laser lens?
Thanks -
Take it apart, clean it.

ask meritline.com what to use on your writer. they have great lists. What media are you using?
