Does anyone know of a utility to find blank frames? Trying ( without watching the whole program ) to find those spots when the scene fades to black.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
GRH

Not heard of one, but that's not to say one doesn't exist.
You could always use some kind of graph to show brightness over the time of the footage - the dips (if dips represent dark spots) will show you where, in the timeline, the black frames are...
But then that then begs the question "Does anyone know of a utility to show the brightness of the footage over time?".
Back to square one... That'll teach me for thinking alound and following my own (circular) logic. There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
Carpe diem.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.
