Hi all!
Just bought a tv-card and started to transfer from vhs to dvd everything works fine. I capture with VirtualVCR and encode with Tmpgenc 3 Express.
The problem is when i´m done it looks good on the tv but it looks bad on my computer, why?
Hope someone can explain why!
/Jonas

If you're playing it on the PC, then "non-interlaced". If you're playing it on a TV, then "interlaced".

Quoting a passage from The Bible:
Technically, DVD-Video can only be stored in interlaced format. Signals from standard video cameras are already in interlaced format. Film, which is inherently progressive, is encoded into MPEG-2 as paired fields. Even though the encoding is field-based, the frame-based nature of the source can be preserved. This allows progressive scan players to put Humpty Dumpty back together again.
