Not to be confused with typing on a keyboard for 18 hours a day (yes, that includes time here).

I'm back. Yesterday was my teleport day (what my wife calls my telecommute day ). And now I'm off until 1/3 which is a Monday and another teleport day. I don't go back to the office until 1/4 8)

Yesterday I decided, since the day was shot already from getting up at 4:30, that I'd just go ahead and clean the turtle tank filter after I was done with work. It's a nasty job and I just wanted to get it out of the way.

By the way, turtles are sensitive to water temperature (not for survival ...they can live in any water temp). When the water gets a bit cold, they begin to befoul the water like there's no tomorrow. It's nasty, light-brown, slippery turtle sewage solids that get into all the screens, foam, etc.

This ends up plugging up the filter before long. The last couple months I have had to clean the filter far too often. We have them in a 125-gal tank that's about half-filled, with rocks and things too so they can climb up.

Then we got a Netflix disc of Voyager season one, disc 4, so we had a Voyager marathon last evening. I sometimes get online and lurk here with the laptop while watching a movie with Pam, but I usually don't concentrate too well on the movie when there's a lot of activity in the forums, like it's been lately ( 8) ). So I just blew it off and decided to leave it to the capable hands of the evening and night mods (Pac, Flay, Smurf, etc.).

But I'll be hanging here pretty much all day today. My aging ass has been sore from putting up the Christmas lights the other day (scooting along the cold roof) so I'm not up for much physically. Pathetic, I know, but sore is sore

I guess he figured since he had the flashers and sirens running, he could go down roads prohibited to normal traffic.
