Ok what have you used duct tape to fix in a pinch. I've camped a lot and have used it for a lot for stuff that you just couldn't fix any other way. The most notable was a cheap pair of sandals. The ones that have the velcro.... Anyhow I had just begun a weeks canoeing trip and the damn strap ripped out of the back of the sandal leaving them useless. Fixed them with duct tape, otherwise I would have spent the next week walking over rocks with one sandal which would have really sucked.

One year we were going to attempt to fix a canoe that had split in half with duct tape, sticks and screws but fortunately were able to have a new canoe delivered that day.

You guys are no fun... no rednecks out there that have used it for something completely out of the ordinary. I used it and 3 hose clamps for a temp. repair on a busted air hose on my truck once. Was either that or get it towed to the garage from the middle of no where. 110 psi, not so bad.

We were contemplating fixing this with it, some wood and some screws but were fortunate enough to find a phone and get a new canoe delivered that day:

Would have made some interesting pictures. The duct tape "Hall of Fame"

After several ...ahem... requests, I have edited the list considerably.

Cap - we know the only one you care about is "Vinyl repair".

When I was a kid (young teen) and got a little too obnoxious my dad would take about 4 to 6 inch strip of duct tape and whack it onto the back of my head when I wasn't looking... Could take a half hour to get the f'n thing off...

It's also good for getting rid of lint (wrap sticky side out around your hand, then give yourself a patdown). I've also used it to retrieve little washers that drop down in the engine compartment of the car ...wrap sticky side out again around a keyhole saw.

It's amusing to duct-tape the cat's tail to the dog's tail ...then watch them work it out .....

Mean, but amusing... On a more politically correct note, try simply putting a piece on the pads cat/dog's rear foot - very entertaining...
