Looking For a Downloadable Movie Database

I'm looking for a site that may provide a movie database (with additional information, stars, etc.) that I can download. I know about IMDB but I want something I can use on my laptop when I travel and won't have internet access.

I thought about saving the website but didn't realize I could still search it. I imagine if the files are there the search engine would still work.

to save a whole website like imdb -- you really may need a special app designed for doing that sort of thing ..

and a LOT of room

If you have Frontpage, it has an option to save entire website. It's really easy to do.
