Trying to backup a season disc of the Land of the Lost, running into a strange problem. The disc has episodes 1-7, and want to split to two discs with no loss of quality. For some reason DVD Fab comes up with "Can't find split point", so I can't split to two discs that way. So I load the files into DVDShrink. (Keep in mind the original disc is 7.66 gig). Now I reauthor to just keep the 7 episodes, and if I say no compression, it jumps all the way up to 11 gig!! But the original is only 7.6 gig, what the heck?? The folder that the files are in is also 7.6 gig...Anyone?

You've stumbled across the downfall of DVDfab: multi-pgc titles.
"most" movies have mutliple title sets, with a movie in one, an extra in another, etc. Each title has one pgc.
However you can have one title set with multiple pgcs instead. DVDFab cannot deal with multi-pgcs, and treats each pgc as a new title, not realising they all share the assets of the title.
Solution - IFOEdit if you're brave and very patient.
Or shell out some $$ and buy DVDRemake, or DVDRemake Pro. I split all my movies with this, never had a problem, at least snce 2.2 (now at 2.6.4). I have yet to find a movie I can't split wqith this proggy
