  1. I'm getting confused here, so i'll just tell you what i'm doing and see if it applies.

I have 1 video file of a concert. I wanted to have a button to play the entire concert without interruption so I did that. After that, I wanted to make several other buttons to play each song individually but return to the menu after the song instead of continuing on. I did this by following the steps from my earlier post. The original file/title is still intact as it was and plays seamless.

So you got everything working the way you wanted?

"If you want to play a portion of a file and return to the menu right after instead of continuing on, you need to select the portion of the file using the Mark In and Mark out buttons, then create a new title. Then drag the TITLE not the chapter to the button or text. Dragging the Chapter to the button, text, or playlist will not return it to the menu at the Mark Out point, it will just continue on."

But, this means you have to make duplicate files of the title?
One file that plays whole concert, and duplicate files with are only songs?
If this is what you mean, thats not what I want. Cause theres no room on the DVD for the concert twice.

I know seamless playback is only guaranteed if the file is one continuus file.

Again, I'm just going from memory here so I hope I don't talk out of my , but I don't think Ulead DVD Workshop 2 duplicates assets*. Sure, it's called a separate title, but I believe it just refers to the designated section of the original file. I think I would have noticed if my disc size had just about doubled.

*It's also implied in Ulead's smashingly keen promo video.

  7. Gottya.

Sounds reasonable. I'll try the create new title from in-out point version.
If it doesnt create new assets, then that should be exactely what i'm looking for.

Thanx for the help so far everybody!!!

    regards
    Terje.

What about hitting the >>| skip button when you're on the last chapter of track 1 for instance. Currently it sends me straight into Track 2 Chapter 1 and I want to go either back to Track 1 Chapter Menu OR the MAIN Menu.

Each Track is set to play to the end from any Chapter start point (that's what I want). I just want it to be obvious if I've finished a Track.
