...and I want to capture at 720x540. Can anybody help me with this? I heard that screnalyzer could do it, I got the freeware version but I don't see options for capturing with it. I started a thread in the wrong forum and nobody is responding

Thanks so much for noticing my post and helping out lordsmurf!
I got this card from my roommate who got it from his Dad... I figure the best thing to do is to upgrade but for the time being I don't have the ca$h. A friend of mine was showing me how to capture with VirtualDub at his house, he was using a card with much crappier image quality but he could capture a larger frame than I've been allowed to with the ATI.
The card I have to the best of my knowledge is an ATI All-In-Wonder Pro -- no 128, no Radeon, just a plain old ATI All-In-Wonder Pro (PCI card). My os is win2kpro with a p3. I went and got the proper breakout cable at my local computer store and downloaded the v5.00.2179.1 driver from here. Like I said earlier, I'm very happy with quality etc. just I would like to capture at a larger size than VirtualDub is allowing. -
That card is ancient. At least 6 years old. It's probably too old to capture at x480. Anyway, go to ATI.com and download the drivers specified for your card. The BTWINCAP drivers may work too. I forget what's on that relic.

thanks so much for the suggestion... after much research I found that my card won't work with the btwincap drivers...Originally Posted by SatStorm
So my next option will be to try ATI's software, ATI Multimedia Center 7.2 which has the ability to capture, altho I'm suspect of quality.Originally Posted by btwincap FAQ
Can anyone recommend other freeware capture software that I could try? I get the feeling that the framesize options will be the same in all programs, tho
Any help for this video caveman is muchly appreciated.

You are very unlucky on this... Did a black car cross the street today while walking;

Anyway... Well: In your case, I would try also Dscaler. It might (might I say!) work! Not the best for capturing, but it has some built in drivers that might bypass the ones of your card!
OR: You buy the cheapest bt8xxx card you can find...La Linea by Osvaldo Cavandoli
