  1. Help! I am having a horrible problem using TMPGEnc dvd author. Before I blew away my computer and started over, I was able to use it fine. Now every time I try to author a dvd using vcd (or any type for that matter) files, I get this error:

Write error occured at address 01c950bb of module Resample.dll with 0023e351

I have no issues with ripping a dvd or converting video files
its just this program that is giving me fits!! Any ideas??

    Hi Melanie1001,

Have you tried uninstalling it and then re-installing? The error is of the kind that would suggest something fundamentally wrong with the installed software...

    Sounds like the audio resampler?

Replace the built in one with SSRC and tell the program to use it under "Environmental Settings" -->Audio Engine--->Sampling Frequency Converter--->External and point it to SSRC.exe

My initial thought - but I have TDA and have never had a problem like this so figured a re-install first would be the place to start. Failing that, pointing it to a different audio resampler may well do the trick.

I never knew TDA could be set up to use a different one. I knew TMPGEnc the encoder could, but not TDA. I guess it's coz I've never needed to do it...

  5. Hi! Thanks for the replies....I think that its the regular TMPGenc software that you can change the audio sampler on, not the DVD author - I have nothing like that under environmental settings....

I uninstalled the 1.6 version and actually went back to an earlier version, 1.5

    Same error

Any other ideas? this is really aggravating

oh these files author fine on another pc by the way...

    latest version

I just cant figure this one out...it used to work, works on another machine, but not on this one since I redid it....and nothing has changed, hardware wise or software wise! Same OS and all...really very odd

    I agree, very odd.

Maybe you'll have to resort to either posting in the TDA forums or contacting Pegasys.

    Sorry I couldn't help more.

    Good luck.

  9. Thanks to everyone for the ideas - I think I will have to drop by the forums at Pegasys and go from there - if an answer happens, I'll post it here

    No problem, and good luck.

And good of you to post back if you find an answer - so many people don't bother and it's of no use to others with the same or similar problem...

  11. Hello! I wanted to provide an update!

While I'm not 100% sure this fixed my problem, after I did whats listed below, I had no more issues

I was attempting to play a graphically intensive program when I started having strange blue screens and lock ups. And what did it be - the clock ratio of my front side bus (fsb)

I bumped it down a couple of notches and my game problems went away. And after I did that - I had no more problems with the encoder. Coincidence? I have no clue. Merely providing info on what happened with me. Thanks to everyone who responded, you people are great!!
