    i have a vcd mpeg1. When i try to author with it in TDA, it says only mpeg1/2. I have many like it and have no problems.

    So i tried tmpgenc plus to re encode again, which the file is also denied. I tried to deplux and that too was denied. All the specs are compliant, why is it being denied by tda and tmpgenc plus?

    Can you post a screenshot of the error you get ?

    Also the specs of the MPEG file ?
    If in doubt, Google it.
