ive just done a DVD in svcd2dvd program and the standard in the log was NTSC, where as the DVD i done before it was PAL ? is there any reason for this or is it the source? also if i change the horizontol res patch to 720 instead of leaving it on 352 will that make a difference? the reason i wanna know why it changed to NTSC is because i put it in my ps2 and it was black and whitecant i just leave it or put it in PAL ? thanks

i dont have that ability with this version 1.5, well not from what i can see, not to worry, i dnt think u can stop it being in NTSC anyway as its probably the source with is NTSC, anyway i was only bothered by this because i put it in my dvd player and it worked a treat, but i put it in ps2 and it worked but in black and white, this was my only concern, im still yet to try it on other players but if they happen not to work? can i get a dvd region hack and change the region for the disc to play? i checked the region of the disc with dvd decrpyter and it said the region was set to 1,2,3,4 etc !! so im assuming this would work? thanks

If the source mpegs are NTSC then the DVD will be NTSC. Thereafter it is a question of what your DVD player/TV will do with it. (it has nothing to do with regions as all SVCD2DVD DVDs are multi-region)
The black and white issue you have sounds like your TV/PS2 setup. Is it the same TV as the one used with your DVD player? To identify all the possiblities (DVD player format conversion, TV format conversion, SCART cable, SCART sockets, RGB Vs composite) - try the PS2 with the same TV AND the same SCART lead into the same input on the TV...... Let us know.SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

first off, i played the dvd on a diffferent tv to the one i used for the ps2. Secondly alll that i was really concerned about was the ability for most dvd players to play the dvds, u near enough confirmed this as you said they will be multi region so it should work correct, if not im sure i can get a region hack or sumthing like that! and i actually did not know that scart sockets can make a difference, i do now, thanks again.
