I am trying to get a divx avi to play smoothly on my divx dvd player. I have heard that unpacking the bitstreams can help.
I am using mpeg4modifier to try and do this - but whe I load in the file I get this error message:
Does anyone know what this means and how it can be fixed?
I also tried DivFix but it said there were no errors, I also rebuilt the index to no avail.
Thanks

Is it two parts joined? For now I would suggest that you try the previous version of mpeg4modifier. New version when it is out may also work.

Thankyou for the help.
I tried v 1.1.0 and it worked fine, the divx played much better on my dvd player after unpacking the bitstreams.
Tho now it doesn't play very well on my computer - its really jerky!
Lol one or the other! -
That is because you left the DivX packed bitstream tag. Removie it and it should play fine on both.

Genius
Thanks - I read somewhere that you should change it from "p" to a "n".
Did that and it seems to work.
Thanks a lot

I would just remove it. When XviD itself encodes with bfames and no packed bitstream it only adds the bitstream version flag.
