Well I'll tell you one thing that has replaced it....

#1 - it is a very very rare situation when a female who acts like Ginger can bring it like she means it. Typically they are all show and the going is slow.

One of the most attractive features of any woman ... is her self esteem and her attitude... I personally like a woman who has some confidense, likes herself and the way she looks... Her attitude also plays a key role.

See, these two statements seem almost contradictory to chics. You want us to have confidence in ourselves but too much makes you think we're fake. Every man draws his line in a different place. How much is enough but not too much?

Ginger...she's high dollar, seems whinny, she's needy...she's one of those "owwwe my leg doesn't go that far"...while Maryann seems more like the "is that all you got? Well you better hang the **** on I'm about to go to work!"

Here's a secret: shhhh, don't tell anyone. Maryannes "go to work" so that they can be treated like Gingers.

Surviving Gilligan's Island DVD...and originally there wasn't gonna be a Mary Ann on the island (just Mrs. Howell & Ginger Grant)

The networks hated the whole idea and thought the show would never work - no one would ever watch a show like that and they'd run out of ideas right away.

Natalie Schafer (Mrs. Howell) signed on thinking the show would only last a few episodes and be canceled...and thought it'd be a nice vacation for her.

Carroll O'Connor (who went on to become Archie Bunker) was first considered for the role of the Skipper

That's why I said just "normal" there are lines between confidence - concieted - and convinced. A little ego is good, some attitude is good. Just depends on the guy and what he's looking for. I personally hate the submissive, timid type. The same is true for women, you want your man to have confidence but erogant is not welcomed. Just be normal.
