i have a 76+ episode series that i wanted to transfer to dvd, but using dvd movie factory i can only fit about 3 eps per dvd. i have seen the same series span across only 5. what would i need to convert the files to, to fit the most possible on each dvd? they are only about 200 mb each but end up at almost 2gb each when finished converting them.

convert to non-standard CVD (352x480/576 with 48 mhz audio). Should be able to fit more onto a DVDr.
divx is a highly compressed video format, so converting to something else (MPEG) will only increase the file size. Something to look at is the audio, make sure that it is converting to mp2 and not pcm (uncompressed audio) -
thanks for the quick responce.
any tips on conversion software to use with this? -
www.dvd2svcd.com, but use TMPGENC or CCE for the conversion.
www.thefilmmachine.com has a converter from avi to DVD but I cant remember if it will do half D-1 (which is how some folks reference CVD (with 48 mhz audio). -

Get it ?
This person just wants to fit multiple episodes on the one DVD, no mention ANYWHERE of an overscan issue, so quit jacking his thread already !If in doubt, Google it. -
Too bad I got the quote already

Just to re-emphasize:
