How Much Time will Ghost Save me, I Reistall my OS Alot ?

I built two identical systems for my kids. I screwed up the data on the drive overclocking it too far. I fired up the BartPE disc, ghosted my other son's PC to my computer over the 100Mb net in 18 minutes. (10Gb worth)

I then restored it to the other PC in 11 minutes. Rebooted, changed the name, added a new user and copied the profile. Done. Around 30 minutes.

choose ghost utilities
choose boot disk wizard
choose floppy with CD/DVD support
create disk (use ghost IBMDOS)
leave disk in and reboot
choose ignore or yes to lable drives (i just cancel out of that screen everytime I do it manually)
(going by memory)
choose image
choose partition to image
select the HDD you want then the partition you want
select next (i think)
select your DVD as to where you want to save the image (it will auto name it for you)
choose high compression
choose yes to make DVD bootable
create image
after it's complete
choose image
choose verify
put in the 1st DVD created
choose the DVD
verify that it's a good image

Normally I do full disk backups and not just partitions

Gave it a test run-through last night and I think I've got it sorted.

Shoot...just did another backup tonight....took freakin 10 DVD's and 4+hours for the backup and 3+ to verify.......most ever

You could also take a look at Acronis True Image (I have 8.0 and it works wonderfuly). The latest Ghost version is actually an updated verion of Power Quest's Drive Image. (Symantec bought Power Quest.)
