Make the date as far ahead as possible to give everyone a chance to plan, save and get excuses done for it - how about summer '06?

And let's make it a simple vote for either USA or Europe (not wanting to exclude anyone else from this but this is where the majority of users are from).

From a logistical point of view, I can't imagine there'd be many direct flights to Halifax from the USA. I think only Air Canada does direct flights from the UK.

At least you can get to NY with a direct flight from most places.

NY or London is fine Rob. We seem to be the only ones willing to venture beyond our local Hobby Lobby. Seriously,I know a lot of members cant afford to travel for the **** of it.that's why I started this thread.I wanted to feel out who was interested and where people might be willing to meet.I would love to come to the UK even though the dollar sux.Since England is smaller,we might be able to get more people to roadtrip.I dunno,keep the ideas coming BTW-I think Spring 05 would be keen.

Back to topic .....if we make it far enough off, we have a better chance of getting everyone together. On the other hand, there will no doubt be OT burnouts, bans ( I hope not ) or personal situations making some members fade away (ahr-hmmmm, Indo and Ripper2860 ).

I'm game for any spot everyone agrees on. Europe or the USA. Fortunately finances aren't an issue for me, but timing might be tricky. So ...the more lead time we have, I think the better. Besides ...we'll all still be here in 18 months ...right? 8)

How about this if cash is tight - hire a log cabin for a week that sleeps about 10-20. It must work out cheaper than hotel/motel for a week for all of us. Plus we get a communal room to play poker and shoot the breeze in instead of some Holiday Inn bar full of plastics reps.

Now there's a great suggestion. It'd also reduce the likelihood of other Holiday Inn guests calling the police, getting a train pulled on them, structural damage, fires, indecent acts performed in their presence, indecent acts performed on their pets, ...etc.
