While it may be too late for 2005, my vote is to hold it in conjuction with the C.E.S. held every January in Las Vegas, Nevada U.S.A. It is always among the top tourist destinations in the world. Getting around is easy, and there's plenty to do 24 hours per day - not just the sinful stuff. (Although that's where you'll find me.)

A convention would be a great idea!
The best thing would be to rent like a ballroom or a large convention/trade show space.
We could get together drink some cool ones...rip some dvds, do some authoring, encoding..etc.
Hell, we could watch Star Wars together if we can get access to a big screen (theater type) and if we have time, maybe even catch an episode of the new Star Trek series together. Does that sound cool? -
Australia is the perfect location. Its cheap even with the crappy American dollar. The only problem is that Australian Customs probably wouldn't let you goons in.

Have it in Albuquerque. I can put tents in the back yard. Might be a bit nippy in March though, but you stiffs will be so drunk, what's the difference
No problem in me getting the air compressor through airport security. If I disassemble it and reassemble to make it look like a weapon, they'll never notice it :P -
