  1. I'm not to sure if this matters but what is the best order to install the OS and video Drivers and Direct X and SP2 ?

I normally install Video Drivers, then Direct X, and then SP2 is this the best way ??

    Thanks.

It really doesn't matter what order you use.

    Chipset (motherboard) drivers
    Video drivers

    Service Paks and hot fixes

I've never found it to matter which order, especially since I've made an XP w/ SP2 slipstreamed install disc

    My order is:
    OS
Drivers in the order they appear in the Device Manager
    Windows Update
    If in doubt, Google it.
