it's in somebody's garage being pieced out as we speak...anyways.

95 green civic 2 door. carbon fiber hood with reverse scoop amber lights on the mirrors...lowered on 17" 9 spoke enkei's. in the rear you can see the blue aluminum anodized(have no clue how to spell that one) lower control arms. thats all the mods that you can see at first glance anyways and you can hear the intake, no exhaust

Wow, they'll even go after a ten year old car. I'll bet it's some kids joyriding, and I'll bet you get it back.

They probably stole it for the parts. Big money in used Honda parts south of the border.

  11. Hey Glock,

Sweet ride man!! Excellent job. The chicks really dig it and I've been getting some serious tail every night when I cruise around with SLIPKNOT cranked up.

Hell, I've already raced for pink slips and won from 3 punks who thought they could take the "Green Machine" !!

OK -- I drive a Ford Taurus with the wimpy Vulcan V-6 and a stock CD player. I can dream can't I ???

    Hi.
Where I live, West Midlands, Uk, the police have brought in a new regulation for stolen cars. When the police find the car, they have a contractor tow it to a garage, where it is stored until the police have time to examine it for evidence. Fingerprints etc. Sounds like a good idea eh?

But! After they have finished with the car, the owner HAS TO PAY £120 TOWAGE TO THE GARAGE! This must be about $200 dollars to any Americans reading.

We have no choice but to pay the money to get th car back. Fucked over twice, by the thief then the police\garage! PLUS the garage charges £12 per day storage fee until the police have been to dust it, and we can collect.

My wife had her car stolen twice this year. First time we (well I) paid the fees and recovered the car with just minor damage. Second time the thieves had completely wrecked it. Still had to pay the fee to release it to a salvage yard. The car was 10 years old so only 3rd party insurance so could not claim any of this from insurance company. Its as bad as being mugged in the street...............................

That's right. Sometimes doing the right thing isn't always "Doing the RIGHT thing".

Stealing a man's car...now that is fucked up, and I believe you to be handling it better than I would.

If I see it rolling through Dayton, Ohio I'll let you know.

im really not gonna get too pissed about it. no sense in making things worse. but yeah, when i was on the phone with police they're like if you find the car before the cops do DO NOT TOUCH IT and DO NOT CONFRONT ANYONE IN THE CAR i couldnt help but laugh as i said ok. i'd just be like, uhhh i found him that way they ask me, "do you know who has your car?" ...what am i supposed to be like, uhh i just remembered a friend borrowed it, nevermind

my friends didnt help either. i was on the phone with one and im like uhhhh my cars gone ill call you back. so i call him back after i call the police. he's like "did you find your car?" my response, "yup sure did it was parked a few spaces over i just missed it for some reason"...his reply "thats cool, glad you found it"

another friend. she's like "your car got stolen?? are you ok?" me "i'll be fine after i start drinkin this 20 pack" her "well why dont you just come down to the bar we're at" im like "yeah, ill drive right over" i think she thought i was comin down at that point

Hmmm, makes me think I should get LoJack for my 2001 Civic. Don't have full coverage, either, and would be out the approx. $10k it's worth if it gets stolen/chopped.

Even worse, the cops just busted a chop shop full of Honda Civics in the next town over (3 miles from here). Maybe I'm living on borrowed time.

Maybe too late for you now, glock, but next time a LoJack might be a good investment. Sorry to hear about your loss. Bastards.

Hey sorry to hear about your Honda Civic being stolen. I own a Honda Civic myself that is equipped with a freeking CLUB and a thingy called a CAP that sits over the entire steering wheel. The CLUB goes on thru the CAP, so if they want to steal my car they're going to have to cut my steering wheel column. My Derringer Car alarm died years ago and they went out of business so I haven't replaced the alarm. I can understand the anger you must be feeling.

low jack is a very good idea. but full coverage is an even better one. specially on that new of car. had full coverage on that car since i had it up in vegas until i moved down here which was stupid because phoenix has one of the worst car theft rates in the country thats what i get for being cheap... my next car im getting low jack or a gps tracking system( i like this idea, but then again if i have the ability to find them i would probably be in jail already )

@budz dude the sad truth is if they want something bad enough they are going to get it. there is nothing you can do. i had a viper alarm on this one. the only thing you can do is slow them down

i agree if they want something bad they will do anything to get it....my honda was broken into 6 times after only having the car for 3 months....I bought it back in 1991 brand new.....they stole my cd collection and damaged my door locks and made holes on the side of my door handles by using a screw driver to pop the silly plastic that is inside the honda door lockswitch.....last may the same thing happened but this time my passenger door lock was busted and there is now a hole again near the door handle....i refuse to fix it because it cost too much....and who knows it could happen again....i reach over to open up passenger door from the inside....it's a hassle but i have better things to do with $500 it would have cost me to fix the hole and new locks..... like buy more computer stuff!

  23. Sad to hear this glockjs. It is amazing how it cramps
the lifestyle - all your plans for the next few weeks have
    to be revised.

I was a student when my car was nicked. Bloody cops
found it 50 miles away near a race track. I go by taxi
to pick it up to find the engine with a hole in it and
then have to come back home - taxi fee $80. I get
a call the day later offering me $500 to wreck it. I can't afford the towing let alone the repair and so agree
(only 3rd party insurance.) The bastard stiffed me
and I only got $300 all up for a $4000 worth of car.

It took me a year part time pumping petrol and mowing grass to afford another car.

These days I have a free ticket to hospital in a special location in case the car alarm goes off. I'm still pissed
    about the 1st time.

Just be careful you don't forget

I don't know how it is in Oz, but here they crucify you if you rig something like that in your car .....for the unlikely but possible scenario that the police or firemen need to move your car during some emergency.

    Full coverage = $$$

    LoJack = ~$700

    Sounds like a good deal.

I was telling my wife what happened to you, bad idea. Now she's so paranoid, I had to drive her to work today and bring the car back and keep it in the garage here at home. Normally she drives to work and parks it in front of the store she works at, now she is afraid to do it. Granted, there's a chance of it being stolen, but I can't go through life worrying about it. She insists that I get a LoJack now, though it will strain the budget esp. here at Xmas time.

Maybe I can put it off till after Xmas. Anyone else have any good/bad experiences with LoJack? I'd like to hear about it.

Any more news about your car yet, glock? I'd be tempted to drive around town looking if my car were stolen, though, if it's in a chop shop you won't be able to find it. Car theft rates are high here in CA. too, and there's probably dozens of chop shops in the LA area.

Maybe I should try and find a LoJack sticker to put on the car, even without LoJack installed, it's probably a good deterrent.

No I have to activate it myself. 3-4 Km range Had a car moved twice by
authorities - both times not a scratch. These days now that I drive a good
car I'm less paranoid. If I get ripped, it's gonna be the whole caboose and
I'm fully insured including the modifications & after market addons. Its when your poor and uninsured that it really hurts.
