Uninstalling Printer?

I have two printers an HP 882 and an HP 2175 but the 882 conked out on me so I threw it away, how do I get it from continuing to show up on my computer? I'm running XP Pro and under "Scanners and Cameras" only my HP2175 shows up which is correct but under "Printers and Faxes" it still lists both printers. Plus both printers show up as an option (to print) when I want to print as before, yet in "Programs" only the HP 2175 is listed.

So do I merely delete the HP882 under "Printer and Faxes" and if I do this will the HP882 continue to show up as an option to print, I just want the HP 2175 to show up? Also the HP 882 is not listed in Add/Remove. Thanks!

If you delete the 882 in Printers and Faxes, it SHOULD remove the drivers and everything that goes along with it. Usually HP printers DO have something listed in Add/Remove Programs, but not always, I'd double check there and also check to see if there's anything on the start menu that refers to that printer with an Uninstall option.

Thanks, deleting was all it took I just didn't want to delete something I shouldn't have and have to backtrack. I also wasn't sure if deleting only removed the icon or not, also it never was listed in Add/Remove or in Programs , only my HP2175. Thanks again!
