  1. Lordsmurf, you said in another thread it can be done. Can you or anyone else here tell me how? It doesn't recognise the Avermedia DVD EZmaker card.

    I haven't tried capturing with Virtualdub with my DVD EZMaker, but the first thing to point out is that vdub is a VFW (Video for Windows) application, so unless you have VFW drivers for the card - which I imagine you don't - vdub will nt recognize it. You might try using VirtualDubMod, which is vdub modified to work with Microsoft DirectShow and WDM (Windows Driver Model) drivers. The drivers that come with the card are WDM drivers, so vdubmod should work.

  3. I just read somewhere that virtual VCR (i think in the reviews for it) that it's the only app that never has a problem with audio/video sync according one person at least. Plus a lot of people praising it. So i guess i'll stick with it. just use VD as an editor.

    I wouldn't say it never has a problem with A/V sync, but it works very well for me with VHS.
