    A friend's microwave was trashed when a babysitter put some aluminum foil in it. It melted through the glass platter...

    No, I never put metal in microwave. Not good idea.

    I seen someone do it before. Started fire in mirowave. Forunately it was next to a sink so just opened it up and put burning food in sink.
