  1. I'm new to this so please excuse any ignorance I would have.

I am trying to burn a DVD to Disk using Ulead DVD movie factory 3.5
I have a Pioneer DVD DL burner
I used DVD decripter to rip the Disk to my hard drive
When the Ulead software goes to complete the compression I get an error stating that there was a problem?
    Os is WinXP

I have burned disks before (3 so far) and this is the first time I am getting this error can anyone help ... anyone more familar with the software or can suggest something different for me to try

    thanks to anyone who helps

    I'm confused....

You ripped with Decrypter? And Compressed with Ulead's DMF?

DMF is an authoring tool, not a "compression" tool.

Was the DVD store bought or was it one that you have made and were just copying?
    What was the error message?

If you are "backing up" a DVD that you have purchased, then I suggest DVDShrink or Instant Copy 7 or 8. (I think IC7 gives better quality for movies needing higher compression but that's a personal opinion). DVDShrink is free.
