Maby this is old news, but many people are asking how to convert a dixv to vcd without VPC in OSX.
1.Fix you divx so it plays properly i quicktime..(http://divx.jamby.net/)
2 split your divx into 2 parts (depends how big the movie is).
3.Install the "Toast Titanium 5.1P2" and drag [base "]ToastVideoCDSupport.component[per thou] folder to the /Library/QuickTime folder.
4. drag one part to toast and it will start to convert it into a mpeg1 file.
5.Now you got the first part of you vcd...Burn it!!!, and do the same with the other part..
On my 1 min clip of "the 5th Element".. i got great quality to(and of course, only if the DivX itself is in good quality..
