Lordsmurf got miffed by them just before he became a mod.... I think he and a few other mods carded him a couple of times. He said he wasn't going to be able to post as much because of an assignment change at work but I think the yellow cards ticked him off.

CC got pissed by the yellow I had issued. I issued it because I was responding to a complaint about CC's material posted in OT. Lordsmurf had made the complaint, just prior to being made a mod.

CC saw LS' complaint and went after him both in the forum and in a PM. The PM was out of line, as was the attack in the forum. CC was issued a yellow card each for those, IMSC. But neither was from LS since he wasn't yet a mod.

Since that incident, CC hasn't returned.

It all could have been avoided if CC had only not posted that image. Prior to that image, he seemed to have derailed lately, not seeming to care about the content of his posts. The last image he posted showed graphic genital mutilation, with a humorous tag line. LS took offense, and rightfully so. The image had no place here, and several images he posted leading up to that capper had no place here either.

I hope after he has a chance to think it over, CC returns ...with a little more respect for the rules here. Nobody wants to yellow-card him or anyone else ...well, maybe some people ...but not one of our OT friends like CC. But ...he put us in a position where we had no choice.

Northcat; Pac has a link to photos of his apartment, I thought that it might be wall to wall PCs and pizza boxes, but it looks first class. I wasn't trying to hijack the hijack. (I've been following along daily, and more) I was hoping though to hear of Pacs' luck with the gals. I was thinking that enough time had passed for him to post an update,unless he is too busy. (and then I really want to hear!)

As for the OFF TOPIC forum, I don't think that it should be locked out to non-members, maybe a warning label saying that a very few people could be offended by some of the content. I think that this site does a fair job of police-ing itself. With a few exceptions it looks to me that most things settle out after a few days and it is all water under the bridge. There is a wealth of information in OFF topic and it would be a shame to not share it.

If we are trying to look more responcible to the nonmembers, perhaps we could start an approximate topic rating system and put put some kind of symbol next to the topic head to indicate that a topic is of a potentionally offensive nature or that replies have made it so. (And then I could just search for the juicey ones without having read them in hopes of finding something that fits my taste )

Yea, it does look kind of "out of the blue" (it was a subtle trick to try and get Pac to post us on some more juicy details) I figured that being that I have read 10 pages I would follow it to the end.
