Secret Santa Help!

Okay, for my office secret santa I pulled the name of the Database/IT department head. He put down on his list simple things like chocolate, raisins, etc that I have already gotten him. We get little things each day then kind of a "big" thing on friday.

On friday I was thinking of getting him a magazine rolled up with a cigar in the middle of it (both of which were on his list). This is where help comes in.

Staying under 8 bucks for BOTH (1 mag and 1 cigar), what should I get? We aren't supposed to go over 20 bucks for the whole week. The magazines should come from the Technology or Gardening fields. Or, if you have a book in mind, I could make that work.
