I've burned a vcd from VideoWave 5 and the quality is poor. Is the Nero 5 a better program for vcd or is it a media problem. Easy Creator 5 quality is a little better. I would like to have the vcd's close to VHS

The actual burning program shouldn't effect the quality, other then it will either work (play) or it won't. It's the video converstion step(s) that define the quality.

What do you mean by converstion steps that define quality.

I was assuming you are taking a video file and converting it somehow to VCD format before burning it. I'm not familiar with VideoWave, so I don't know if that's a conversion program (I use TMPGEnc). If it's true VCD format, then the setting for things like resolution and bitrate are preset. But if you can use XVCD, you can adjust these settings to improve quality.

Where can I get the TMPGenc program. I'm wondering if the quality for a vcd would improve over the CD creator 5 and Videowave 5 programs. I have alot of blocks when I view the burned vcd.
