I have a vob file, but I can only play it in VLC.

Is there anyway I can find out if it's PAL or NTSC [24/25/30 frames] ?

Is there a way to find this information out inside of VLC? or maybe another prog. that can read .vob files?

actually, the VOB file isn't corrupt [in my case] it's just that I have a VOB file and can't tell if it's PAL or NTSC [since I can't see the frame rate information].

Can DVD player give you this info?

  6. You can try to change extension from .VOB to .mpg and open it in QuickTime...The hit command+i and you should get various info on your file....Note that you need MPEG2 component for QuickTime for that...

Also MPlayer can give you the info on your .VOB...In the bottom right corner of MPlayer GUI is the little "i" button....Drop your .VOB on the play list, select it and click "i"...

  7. Hi

Open your .VOB file with any hexa editor (hexedit is fine )

    look the byte at 0x0048

if the byte is 4x, 5x 6x or 7x, your video is PAD
if the byte is Cx, Dx, Ex or Fx, your video is NTSC

if the byte is 00, unlucky, I will give you a other solution.
