I remember when someone broke into my house a couple of years ago. All they stole of was a remote for the TV and a 2 Pac tape.
    His name was MackemX

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

Which im glad I dont live anywhere near Detroit (I live on the west side of the state) because of more chances of theft issues. But then again, I dont know many people either, let alone being a very private person.

I had an SNES and SEGA stolen years ago. They borke a window and stole the systems. The window was cheap and the systems appeared in a Pawn shop about 3 weeks later. We had Metal tags with engraved name and address on them that were epoxied to the case. Would have caused sever damage to remove them. Out of freak coincidence, My brother and I went to the pawn shop to get some audio equipment and the the systems. We told the shop owner who called the police. They verified the report and arrested the guy who stole them, because you had to provide a license to sell items to the pawan shop. Turns out it was an older brother of one of our friends who knew exactly where the system was. The guy was a dickhead and drug user anyway. He only came over to pick up his younger brother, but we'd rarely let him in the house. We'd make him wait at the back door for his brother to come. Never saw him again after the incident though. Anywhere around town either. Had his name and face in the local papers too. I'll have to ask my parents about it, but he may have been jailed for that. Plus I think the Pawn Shop owner was able to sue him for illegal sales transaction of hot goods. The Pawn shop owner was actually a nice and honest guy. You would never guess his store was a pawn shop. Very clean and he even sold a ton of retail items. Went out of business about 3-4years ago due to major illness. Didn't know him too well though. My dad may have.

I saw that on the news last nighjt but you gotaa be on your toes.I caught one one the older boys (10-11) trying to bilk the boy outta his crisp $20 bill. As he gets older,I think I will invest in motion sensor cameras throughout the crib. Any ideas for hooking up thru your wireless network? I would like ones that record to HD or server when activated.

They have cameras already wireless & ready via bluetooth/D-Link. I haven't used any myself, but I hear many are pretty good. I know someone who has one hard wired & mounted at their front door. They have a Colorgraphics card that they can split of a monitor specifically to show the front door and it records to the HDD. That's about all I know about it.

When we were comin up,this kid ganked my good friends parent's silver and sold it to a local head/pawn shop/arcade in about 1980.My friend's dad was the county prosecutor. He confronted the owner, who was saying I just cant give you that back.I paid for that.Well the response was quite long, but needless to say he left with his silver.

In NY and here in NV, I know that it's required for the Pawn shop (or Pawn brokers is the new term) to return any item that was previously reported as stolen. however, their insurance will cover the loss and they can prosecute against the person who sold it to them for an unlawful transaction. There are disclaimers that you have to sign stating that you're not selling something "HOT" or you will be fine & imprisoned. They also take information off of your driver's license. I think they have to wait 2-4 weeks before they can list it as available for for sale, but I'm not for certain on that. It may just be personal protection or local law to hold an item for a period of time before placing it for sale.

That's exactly how I felt. The son of a bitch messed everything up, threw everything around and only took the TV control and a 2 Pac tape.

Teacher Found Guilty Of Hacking Husband To Death
Autopsy Shows Man Stabbed 21 Times

    POSTED: 3:06 pm EST December 14, 2004
    UPDATED: 5:20 pm EST December 14, 2004

PONTIAC, Mich. -- An Oakland County jury has reached a verdict in the murder trial of elementary school teacher Nancy Seaman.

Seaman, 52, was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of her 57-year-old husband, Robert.

    DOMESTIC SLAYING

Seaman had claimed that she killed her husband in self-defense after he sliced her with a knife and chased her into the garage outside their Farmington Hills home.

Seaman testified that she was crouched in a ball on the floor when she saw her husband grab her leg. She said she felt the handle of a hatchet and "flung it at him and it swept him across the face." Seaman said she did not know how many times she hit her husband with the hatchet.

Oakland County Assistant Prosecutor Lisa Ortlieb called Seaman's testimony untruthful.

"This was a one-sided attack. It was a complete ambush," Ortlieb said. "(Robert Seaman) did not have one defensive mark on him."

Seaman testified that she had been a victim of domestic abuse for the past 30 years, bur Ortlieb said, "There was no credible evidence to suggest that Nancy Seaman was a battered woman."

Nancy Seaman watches as the verdict is read in court.

In a press conference after the verdict, jurors said that Nancy Seaman's testimony appeared "insincere" and "contrived." One juror said that Seaman appeared to be "acting."

Police said Seaman killed her husband with a hatchet, knife and sledgehammer.

Autopsy results showed that Robert Seaman was stabbed 21 times and struck with the hatchet 15 times, the station reported.

Officers found the man's body on the afternoon of May 12 in the back of a Ford Explorer parked in the driveway of the couple's home on Briarwood, near 13 Mile Road and Halstead. He had reportedly been dead for several days.

Nancy Seaman -- who was a fourth-grade teacher at Longacre Elementary School in Farmington at the time -- said she didn't know her husband was dead until she came home from school during lunch hour.

Police said Seaman attempted to cover up the crime. Investigators believe the former teacher wrapped her husband's body in a tarp, secured it with duct tape and then placed it in the back of the SUV.

Prosecutors questioned the fact that Seaman bought the hatchet just prior to her husband's death.

    "Justice was served," said Ortlieb.
She may have been a battered wife, but I think 2-3 hatchet shots would have been fine and calling the police immediately after would have been a goo step to proving her innocence. Using 3 different weapons to slaughter an attacker more than 10 times with each weapon, and then sticking the body in a tarp and leaving it in the back of a vehicle for several days doesn't quite make it look like she's very sorry to have done this. Read the previous story links on the bottom of the page. Their great.
