  1. I have a dvd with eightepisodes on I want to convert to vcd. I want to put three of these episodes on each cdr, but everytime I try it the first one is fine and the other two have audio out of synch (the second by about five seconds and the third episode about ten seconds!) I've tried it three times now with the same results. I never have this problem when doing movies over two disks.
    Can anyone help?
I'm using smartripper (I've tried CladDVD as well), DVD2Avi and TMPGEnc.
    Thanks,
    Will

  2. I have no idea if this will work, but you might try encoding the episodes separately using the source range filter on TMPGENC. Then you'll have 3 separate mpegs, and if you burn using Nero, they play like 3 separate chapters.

  3. Hi, thanks for the message.
    I'll give that try, thanks.
Is this filter standard in TMPGEnc or do I have to install it?
    Thanks again,

  4. Is the 'source range' the same as selcting the start and end of frames?
If so I've tried it and it doesn't work.
I tried creating all episodes together and cropping in the 'tools' section, and then individual episoes by starting and ending the frame at each individual episode and it was still out of synch/
    Thanks anyway.

  5. save yourself some time & split your vobs by chapter(max filesize 4000mb) when you rip to hdd. all you have to do then is select the vobs specific to the current episode. encode video & audio in seperate operations and you will be less likely to experience async
