  1. After encoding a .vob file to svcd, my video has a little picture of a cube on the top right corner. I figured this was only there since I had the demo, so I registered the software and it was still there. Anyway I can get rid of it?

what do you play with? svcd can look strange with some software players. try media player classic or a software dvd player like powerdvd.

does it look okey if you use the file->preview in tmpgenc when you open the vob and select svcd output ?

  3. I use Windows Media 10, and I've tried a divx player too with the same result. This appears to me its like a watermark feature on demo version that you have to register the product to get rid of it but I did register it and its still there. It almost looks like a small transparent rubix cube. I do not see it in the preview window though, only during playback after encoding.

The rubix cube is from the mpeg2 decoder(it "decodes" the vob/mpeg2) not from tmpgenc. I think it is from the moonlight elecard mpeg2 deoceder, http://www.elecard.com/products/mpeg2decoder.shtml . Uninstall it and get another one like PowerDVD. You must convert the video again.
