I just bought a handful of CDs from MSN Music, but I've run into a problem. Since I've reformatted my computer, I have to enter my .NET Passport information to play the files. My question is, is there anyway I can remove the DRM, without having to burn the files to a CD and rip again? I really don't want to lose any quality, but I want to be able to play the music I payed for on my MP3 player. Thanks alot for any help, whoever thought of this DRM, likes D in their A.

    Hello,

    DITTO

Rip as a wav if you want to have the highest quality.

Though I rip to mp3 in similar circumstances and like the quality of 128 mp3 just fine.

If you guys have Nero Burning ROM, you can always use Nero's Image Recorder and burn it to a virutal CD, and save a CD. :P Thanks alot for the responses, but I know someone will figure out a way to remove the DRM, probably the makers of iFree (removes the DRM from songs bot on iTunes.)

They will get sued and arrested as well for breaking encryption which is illegal under the dmca.

I buy the few mp3s I buy from places that dont have DRM in the files like allofmp3.com which my research seems to suggest falls into a grey area of legality.

edit: less of a grey area, more of a loophole.
