I've been recording dvb files with mytheatre and have been pleased with the results until recently. Today and Last sunday I made two recording that were 3 hours each. Both files play fine until about an hour or so into the recording. Then they skip and jump like crazy and no matter where you seek to in the file wheter it's ahead or past that spot it does the same thing all the way thru the file. I tried fixing one of these dvb mpeg2's in pvastrumento but it didn't fix the skipping at all. I was not using a lot of cpu's at the time and my cpu and case is kept cool enough so I know it's not an issue of overheating. The only difference I noticed is I'm using mytheatre 3.20.02 which is the newest version. I noticed today under recording in the settings that there is a box checked that says make dvd complaint which i found after i made the recording maybe this is what jacked it up. I notice no pixelation on these scenes of anything but I recorded a sample of where the video is skipping and the resulting mpeg2 has lots of green pixels all over and pixels everywhere. What is corrupting these dvb files and is there anyway to fix them? when I demuxed with pvastrumento it was missing lots of frames after so the video was not even worth trying to save. any ideas?

Sounds like signal lost during the capture, maybe a cloud or heavy rain while the recording was performed?, Windows doing some nasty task in the background?
Try to run the original file or files using PowerDVD and see if there is any jumping scene.

I found out what it was is that there is a bug in mytheatre 3.20.02 about the recording. I went back to 3.12 version. it's a same too cause 3.20 the video flowed much smoother. Sometimes in mytheatre when I'm changing channels it will hang on one channel and the timebuffer will never initialize until you either turn back to the previous channel you were just on or try a bunch of diff channels until one starts to play then let the timeshift buffer fill up then turn to what ever channel. Very annoying. I wished I knew how to work progdvb better.
