  1. Hi, I use Real Alternative, and TMPGEnc to try to convert RMVB file to MPEG so I can burn it on DVD. The conversion was successful on the VIDEO only.. but NO Audio at all..

anyone can suggest why? I search some posts saying the new TMPGEnc might not support RMVB audio.. but older versions are ok.. which old version you use that can convert both audio and video?

    My TMPGEnc Version: 2.520.24.163
    Real Alternative : 1.29
    Windows XP

    thanks

Was the audio cook or aac?
One solution would be to decode the audio and load it seperatly such as mplayer.exe -ao pcm -vo null -vc dummy input.rmvb -aofile output.wav

Could also use mencoder to directly convert to AC3 (via liba52) or mp2 (via libtoolame).
