TMPGEnc Plus, CCE, Mainconcept .... there's any number of Dedicated MPEG Encoders around. I use TMPGEnc Plus, BTW. If you want quick n easy (at the expense of control and options), you could try the All-in-one tools listed here.
If in doubt, Google it. -
Well im new to this so for now a program that will do the work for me.

In the past I've used DVDSanta, NeroVision Express, TheFilmMachine and WinAVI Video Converter, so from my point of view, naturally I'd suggest you research these first, as I can vouch for them being pretty easy to pick up.If in doubt, Google it. -
I happen to get dvd santa but it didn't do its job. What i want is a program that will put an avi such as divx of xvid into mpeg format so when i use TMPGEnc DVD Author i can select this mpeg file and put it into the program to work.

didn't do its job? what didn't it do? please explain and it is much easier to help.
And test more than tool one...jimmalenko has mention several. -
It basically made it into dvd format which i dont want. I was really looking and hoping it will put it into mpeg mode.
I check the rest out too.
Thanks. -
Even though you've got IFOs, BUPs & VOBs from DVDSanta, you can still import these straight into TMPGEnc DVD Author - just use the Add DVD Video button instead of the Add File button
If in doubt, Google it. -
Ahhh ok then i got what your saying. I didnt know you can do that. I was just thinking mpeg format.
Thanks once again. -
That's also true cause im new to this and i dont want to spend hours on doing different things.
