That windows region change count is only reading straight off your burner anyway and does not apply if you have region-free firmware.

Hi All,
I will purchase the NEC ND 3500A, DL Burner I went to the site to see if there was a region free firmware, and there is, but when I went to the site above, there were so many options I am not sure which to choose this is what I saw

how do i know if ishould choose 2.16, 2.18. 2.06 or rpc1 or rpc2. next question, anyone have a better DL burner they would like to share.

OK , I tried to download the firmware without success, here is what i did:

1.) From The Firmware page, I selected 2.16 to download.

Beta Region Free (RPC-1) firmware is available here. Patched by The Dangerous Brothers.
RPC-2
2.) it then took me to another page with the following:
2.06 TDB Windows Flasher, 2.16 TDB Windows Flasher,
2.07 TDB Windows Flasher, 2.17 TDB Windows Flasher, and
2.18 TDB Windows Flasher

3.) I selected 2.16 TDB Windows Flasher
4.) It redirected to a page with the following mesage:
