This is kind of annoying. You download a movie, you try to watch it and then Windows Media Player displays that annoying message that you cant view it because a codec is missing. And THATS IT. What kind of codes? Which one? No Info whatsoever. Is there a way to find with some decent accuracy which codec you need, because just missing a codec isn't really helpful as an information, PLUS the number of codecs is VAST to say the least.
On the same lines I have also the DivX player and although some files that Windows MP cannot play, DivX can BUT NOT ALWAYS. Some times is reverse and I'm getting an error message in DivX while the clip plays in WMP. As a result I dont know what files to associate with what player. Is there a Really STABLE and kinda universal Video Player that can play almost everything without frustration?
Thx.
