I have a 700 MB AVI(XVID). I tried to burn it to SVCD with Nero but the program said it was waaaaay more than a CD could hold. Then I tried to convert it to DVD with Nero but it was still huuuuuge.
Am I supposed to do something to make it fit on a CD or DVD?
Thanks.

With the svcd mode, it can hold about 50 minutes of audio and video.
If it is over that timelength, you will either have to use a nonstandard encoding factor or split it up onto 2 or three cd's. -
This guide should be able to convert most filetypes to DVD. This guide will do same if you want to create an XVCD. With a bit of tweaking, you can also make it make XSVCDs.
If in doubt, Google it.
